  • Communicates effectively with co-workers, staff, patients, and families through demonstration of excellent customer service skills, through appropriate courtesy and manners.
  • Washes and sanitizes patient, retail and catering dishes, pots, pans and production, service equipment by hand or places them into a dishwashing or pot washing machine for cleaning. Accurately completes all HACCP logs, including but not limited to: pot and pan machine temperature log, dish machine temperature log and sanitizer logs. Must complete and record any corrective actions taken.
  • Washes and sanitizes work tables, walls, refrigerators and other assigned equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of work areas by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning floors, walls, and assigned equipment. Removes trash, garbage and dirty cooking oil to designated areas. Transfers supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas such as store room and dish room. May receive, lift, move, store, and check-in items on department requisitions or invoices. Communicates damaged items or equipment to supervisor.
  • Follows all SDS (safety data sheets) safety procedures and uses correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for handling chemicals.
  • May deliver and pickup patient tray carts where interaction with patients and patient families may occur.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English (Bilingual in Spanish is encouraged)
  • On the job training

  • 1 part time vacancy, 20 hours per week. Hours may vary.
