About Vidant Medical Center

Vidant Medical Center (VMC) is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.

Responsibilities

The System Application Administrator (SAA) will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Workforce Management and in partnership with Concerro SERVICES AND ENGINEERING RESOURCES during all phases of implementation, and post implementation support/management of FlexWork for all VMC departments and personnel.

The SAA is responsible for the technical application and operations of the FlexWork program for entire institution of VMC across all disciplines and departments. The SAA functions as the onsite technical expert for VMC leadership in maximizing FlexWork utilization within each department in order to achieve the project goals of VMC and Vidant Health.

  • Provides system administration and configuration management for all functions of Concerro applications:
    • Oversight of establishing and supporting positions, profiles, and skills sets.
    • Configures and supports the Open Shift Management application with the Concerro Client Services Executive and Director of Workforce Management.
    • Configures and supports the Scheduling and Schedule Build Applications with the Concerro Client Services Executive and Director of Workforce Management.
  • Provides internal technical and applications support services as local product specialist:
    • Monitors adoption and progression of rollout for all departments on an ongoing basis identifying areas that the Director needs to review.
    • Resolves daily operational and functional application issues.
    • Communicates as local system liaison with Concerro team to resolve system questions and/or make adjustments to configurations and application strategies.
  • Provides onsite education for managers, supervisors and super users across VMC:
    • Contributes as a team member with the Director of Workforce. Management and the Office of Workforce Management with the identification and development of needed teaching material and programs for the entire range of end users at VMC.
    • Assists the Director of Workforce Management in ongoing needs assessment and compliance assessment that identifies learning opportunities and facilitates adaptation of new system.
    • Actively participates with team members in providing education to end users in a small group session or a one-on-one session per user.
  • Coordinates software upgrades by Concerro for VMC:
    • Prepares end users for software upgrades for FlexWork.
    • Supplies Director of Workforce Management with monitoring information on the adoption and compliance of users with software upgrades for FlexWork.
    • Participates in Concerro client offerings, such as educational programs, webcasts, and Client Conferences.
  • Participates in preparation and trending of performance with Director of Workforce Management and other regional System Application Administrators:
    • Assist in the definition, collection, and distribution of application performance reports.
    • Participates in producing trending reports for Director of Workforce Management that identifies opportunities for celebration, as well as, learning opportunities.
    • Participates in data analysis with the Director of Workforce Management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Four-year college degree with major in Computer Technology or Health Care related field required.
  • One to three years experience with coordination and implementation of computer technology software programs, teaching of computer technology and support of software applications required.
  • May substitute a two year degree in Computer Science or related technology field with an additional two years of directly related experience.

Preferred Requirements

  • Additional experience in leadership and financial areas preferred.
  • Competency with excel and trending data preferred.
  • Experience with FlexWork or Concerro.
