Position Summary

The Surgical Procedure and Sterile Processing Surgical Technologist primary function is to participate as a liaison between Surgery and Sterile Processing by serving as a surgical scrub and sterile processing technologist to coordinate instrumentation availability, turnover, troubleshoot and monitor quality and functionality.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program is required.
  • Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) is required to be obtained within two years from date of hire.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) certification as Technician, Surgical Instrument Specialist, Ambulatory Service Technician or Management is required to be obtained within two years from date of hire.
  • Previous experience in the surgical environment preferred
