  • Monitor proficiency and productivity of coding services to enhance the revenue cycle and provide education to ensure coding is accurate, timely and adheres to regulatory guidelines. 
  • Works closely with direct reports to aid in professional development to promote retention and overall employee satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with management and clinics to develop and maintain standardized and consistent coding throughout VMG practices.
  • Assist coding manager with research of problem accounts and responds appropriately to resolve the account issues.
  • Manages high priority projects and communicate effectively at various levels within VMG. 
  • Assist with developing and updating coding policies and procedures and other duties as assigned.
  • Attends and participates in educational programs or inservices to keep abreast of changes and/or developments in coding rules/regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology or related field. Certification by the American Health
    Information management Association (AHIMA) as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a coding field, with leadership experience preferred. Certification as CCS-P or CPC preferred.
