About Vidant Medical Center

Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.

Responsibilities

  •  May complete inventory and restock divisional locations (Division discretion).
  •  Maintains inventory accuracy.
  •  Checks expiration dates on items.
  •  Arranges additions/deletions and increases/decreases to par levels in division.
  •  Fill pick tickets promptly and accurately.
  •  Contacts Pyxis Supply company as issues arise.
  •  Increases/decreases systems as needed.
  •  If appropriate, assist with management of referring provider resources (spiral boards, splints).
  •  Flatten boxes and discard in designated area,  keep supplies neat and orderly.
  •  Maintain working knowledge of all stockroom items.
  •  Stock shelves with incoming supplies and rotate stock giving attention to  expiration dates.
  • Ensure Pyxis supply stations are clean, functioning properly, and labels are intact, reconcile patients to the Pyxis system  and attend Pyxis meetings.      
  •  Assists staff with walk-ins and questions.
  •  Follow up on Recall information.
  •  Follows applicable policies and procedures when performing daily duties.
  •  Run reports on compliance,  reviews and makes necessary notations as needed and review reports with Managers.
  •  Run errands to Laboratory, Central Distribution, etc. as needed.
  •  Assist with oversight and control of dietary floor stock.
  •  Assists in keeping hallways / corridors clean. 

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma with less than 1 year of supply or warehouse experience with shipping & receiving activity.

  • 1 full time vacancy, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.
