Vidant SurgiCenter operates a licensed freestanding ambulatory surgery center dedicated to serving the patients of eastern North Carolina with a high quality staff and first class facility. The facility has 10 state of the art operating rooms, 17 preoperative bed stalls, 22 post anesthesia beds, 6 recovery center beds and a patient/family centered lobby. Vidant SurgiCenter is a joint venture between Vidant Medical Center and local physicians with a Joint Commissions Accreditation of Ambulatory Health Care. Vidant SurgiCenter will enhance the patient experience by improving the ease of access for patients and referring physicians. Under the guidance of Vidant Health and physicians, Vidant SurgiCenter will be the destination for outpatient surgery by providing quality, safe patient care, marketing to consumers and enhancing the relationships and referrals of physicians. By providing excellent, effective and efficient care to our patients the mission of Vidant SurgiCenter will be achieved.


Position Summary

  • The Perioperative Supervisor holds a position of line authority. 
  • Under the direction of the Dir, Patient Care Services the perioperative supervisor is delegated certain responsibilities and authority for managing a nursing unit and/or units. 
  • Among these responsibilities are coordinating, evaluating and improving nursing care. 
  • Through utilization of leadership skills, the Perioperative Supervisor assists the Assistant Nurse Manager in promoting safe, cost effective, quality patient care on a daily basis.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate Degree
  • Five to seven years related experience
  • Licensure/Registration/Certification: License as a Registered Nurse, must maintain licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
