Position Summary

  • The Facilities Services Supervisor oversees Vidant Beaufort Hospitals Environment of Care which includes aspects such as safety, security, hazardous materials, fire responses/devices, medical equipment and utilities.
  • Schedules and implements repairs, inspections and preventive maintenance of all utility equipment and associated systems of which are the responsibility of Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
  • Assists Facility Manager in the supervision of the Facilities staff.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required with an additional two-year trade or vocational program in courses of electricity, mechanical engineering, blueprint reading or related preferred.
  • Licensed or certified by appropriate body in a building maintenance trade or must have five years progressive experience in working with boilers, heating and cooling systems, generators, plumbing or electrical systems.
  • Familiar with information technology and terminology.
  • Requires strong supervisory and planning skills, knowledge, understanding of regulatory requirements as well as accreditation agencies such as NC-DHSR and the Joint Commission.
  • Valid North Carolina Drivers license.
