Position Summary

Provides supervision for assigned Allied Health team members and program. Ensures adequate staffing to meet patient care needs including design, implementation and evaluation of services. Provides oversight for time and attendance reporting. Appraises employee performance on a regular basis, manages performance including productivity and facilitates employee development to achieve professional and organizational goals. Ensures facilitation of interdisciplinary patient care and team cohesion across the continuum. Assists manager in daily operations and assumes functions of manager when designated.

Minimum Requirements

  • College Degree plus other schooling is required.
  • Master's in Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work,  Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or Psychology is required.
  • Advanced degree may be required if it is the terminal degree for the discipline.
  • Fully Licensed by the state of North Carolina in the designated field of clinical practice is required. Certification may also be required if required by the discipline (such as Recreational Therapy).
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in similar role if no graduate degree required for licensure (such as Recreational Therapy) is required. 
  • Five years experience in degree(s) field is preferable. Inpatient experience is desired. Minimum one year's experience in a formal leadership role preferred.
