  • Supervises and directs PAS Operations departments' activities in conjunction with PAS Operations Manager.
  • Responsible for the hiring and disciplinary action of employees, monitoring time and attendance, and holding staff accountable for adhering to departmental polices and procedures.
  • Responsible for time and attendance duties to include correcting entries and final approval of employee records.
  • Responsible for completing the appropriate benefit related documents such as FMLA, LOA, PAFs, etc.
  • Responsible and accountable for ordering and maintaining the appropriate supplies and equipment that the employees in order to perform the requirements of the job.
  • Prepares monthly schedule for the select PAS Operations departments in Patient Access Services
  • Ensures provision of sufficient coverage while avoiding unnecessary overtime.
  • Monitors and documents staff workload to determine staffing requirement/complement.
  • Orients and trains new PAS Operations department staff.
  • Ensures completion of orientation paperwork and competencies before staff work independently.
  • Provides on-going follow up feedback, support and education.
  • Completes six-month and annual evaluations of PAS Operation departments' staff.
  • Ensures completion of self-evaluations and annual requirements.
  • Provides back-up for the PAS Operations Department such as Patient Access Rep I, II, III, Schedulers, and Insurance Verification.
  • Meet all designated role responsibilities.
  • Provides resolution for such issues as absences, personnel issues and emergencies.
  • Keeps staff up-to-date on all pertinent information regarding the organization, process changes, etc.
  • Ensures communication of information gathered with staff.
  • Participates in Service Quality Programs and Initiatives. 

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or education required: AS or AA Degree, Medical Office Technology or related training.
  • 2 - 3 years of related experience is required.
  • A four year degree may be substituted for the required experience.
