Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.



  • Summary of position purpose and scope: The Environmental Services Area Tech Supervisor has advanced knowledge of Environmental cleaning procedures and can provide leadership guidance in the absence of the manager.  As an Area Tech Supervisor, they are responsible for the assurance of clean hospital facilities and fixtures through the supervision of housekeeping personnel, performs quality assurance inspections of all areas, review of cleaning procedures, training of new hires and evaluations of front-line personnel.  As an Area Tech Supervisor, they will be able to complete team member’s performance appraisals, complete departmental scheduling, and appropriately discipline and reward team members per Vidant Health Policy and Procedures.  As an Environmental Services Area Tech Supervisor, they are responsible for ensuring a positive impression by greeting patients, visitors, internal customers and peers with a smile and genuine attitude that says, “Welcome to Vidant Chowan Hospital.  It is my pleasure to serve you.”

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 3 years experience in Environmental Services

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in a Healthcare Facility
