Vidant Edgecombe Hospital, formerly Heritage Hospital, is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro, Edgecombe county and surrounding communities receive a wide range of health services close to home. Our partnership with Vidant Health enhances our wide range of services and improves the quality of care our patients receive. More than 20 specialties are represented by Vidant Edgecombe Hospital's medical staff, assuring the people of Edgecombe county that almost all their health needs can be met right here at home. In addition to acute care, our services include rehabilitation, oncology and outpatient clinics.

 

Position Summary

Under general technologist supervision;

  1. Follows Radiology department routines for required exams
  2. Positions the patient accurately with concern for patient safety
  3. Uses proper immobilization devices
  4. Sets the control panel accurately for exposures
  5. Properly identifies patient using full name and date of birth
  6. Can safety transfer patients, uses correct body mechanics
  7. Marks all radiographs with lead marker
  8. Provides clear instruction to the patient
  9. Offers patients assistance, shows empathy, is kind and reassuring.

Weekend hours - Saturday Nights - 9pm - 5am

16 hours per pay period
