Vidant Medical Center is the only rehabilitation center in eastern NC with specialty units for Stroke Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, Brain Injury, Neuro and Spinal Cord Injury. Vidant Medical Center also has 6 CARF accredited programs. Programs and equipment include Lokomat, ZeroG Harness, Bioness, and Biodex.

Position Summary

Responsible for administering diagnostic and habilitative/ rehabilitative services to patients referred for services and maintaining records pertinent to such services. Observes, evaluates and documents diagnostic and treatment effects. Consults with supervisor on all pertinent matters for program and professional development (i.e. research projects, expansion of programs, record keeping, policies and procedures, etc.). Will also be involved in team dynamics and participate in interdisciplinary activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduation with MS or MA in Speech Language Pathology

  • North Carolina Speech Language Pathology License -Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology awarded by ASHA is required, or must be obtained within one year of hire.
