Information Services at Vidant Health

Vidant Health offers comprehensive Information Technology (IT) services and infrastructure to support and enable all aspects of organizational operations. Our IT division consists of a state-of-the-art data center located in Greenville, NC. The data center services all information technology needs of Vidant Health facilities. All Vidant Health owned or leased hospitals are on a common IT platform, including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses Epic's suite of applications. Vidant Health has achieved Meaningful Use Stage 2 recognition and is also approaching Stage 7 for HIMSS Analytics’ Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model (EMRAM) recognition.

Position Summary

Vidant Health is looking for a SharePoint Administrator/Developer to assist with developing, modifying, and maintaining SharePoint server portals. The successful candidate will manage build-out, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of SharePoint farms. You will partner with other team members to review proposed architectures, implement and maintain complex SharePoint solutions, and ensure site deliverables are met. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations of production and test environments utilizing Daily, Weekly, and Monthly checklists for the following tasks: event log monitoring, disk space, CPU and Memory Use, timer jobs, IIS logs, Usage logs, ULS logs, SharePoint Health Analyzer Monitor performance
  • Backup/Restore/Recovery planning and coordination with other technology teams
  • Perform database consistency check data/indexes with other technology teams
  • DR Planning and Testing
  • Capacity Planning
  • Perform Cumulative Updates on SharePoint farm servers
  • SharePoint Search Administration
  • Custom Solution development
  • Actively participate in design and planning of SharePoint environment by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with SharePoint 2016 including out of the box web parts, lists, content types, workflows, templates and master pages
  • Understanding of SharePoint administration including management of server farms, web applications, site collections, sites, service applications, and solution deployment
  • Two to three related IT certifications

Preferred Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems; or related discipline is desired
  • Experience developing and maintaining Nintex Forms and Workflows
  • Experience managing backup and restore operations with AvePoint’s DocAve product
  • Microsoft MCPD 70-576, SharePoint 2010/2013 Designing and Developing Applications certification is a plus but not required
