Vidant Health offers comprehensive Information Technology (IT) services and infrastructure to support and enable all aspects of organizational operations. Our IT division consists of a state-of-the-art data center located in Greenville, NC. The data center services all information technology needs of Vidant Health facilities. All Vidant Health owned or leased hospitals are on a common IT platform, including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses Epic's suite of applications. Vidant Health has achieved Meaningful Use Stage 2 recognition and is also approaching Stage 7 for HIMSS Analytics’ Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model (EMRAM) recognition.

Position Summary

The ServiceNow Administrator is responsible for enterprise-wide administration, support, and development of the ServiceNow platform.  The ServiceNow administrator will be responsible for configuring, administering, and scripting the platform, across multiple modules and applications, to support end-users across the health system.  The administrator will be required to define requirements, design workflows, participate in all build/configuration, testing, and implementation activities, as well as perform analysis and troubleshooting to meet specifications of a project or service request.

The ServiceNow Administrator will be the content expert of user interface (UI) policies, data policies, UI actions, business rules, client scripts, and ACLs.  This role coordinates ServiceNow application and plaform upgrades.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or relevant work experience required.

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in IT dealing with ServiceNow administration, implementation and support or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • ServiceNow Certified Administrator

  • Experience with ITSM and ITBM suites.

  • Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, APIs and Web Services.

  • Experience in participating in system analysis with special emphasis on system methodologies, projects management and business process reengineering related to ServiceNow required.

  • Experience with coordinating testing strategies to ensure accuracy, functionality and reliability of the system across modules.

  • Recognized as a source of knowledge on ServiceNow, both functional and technical operations.

  • Obtains and maintains current certification from the vendor and continued education/learning to understand the most current platform capabilities.
