Position Summary

The senior secretary will be a personal secretary to a manager over a cost center, handle communication and acts as receptionist.  Sr. Secretary types and processes various materials.

  • Keep manager calendar, set appointments, make arrangements and preparations for travel, conferences, meetings and special events.

  • Take minutes or notes, transcribes correspondence and other material from recorded or direct dictation and compose and type correspondence.

  • Types reports, memos and maintains various lists, card files and other records, confidentially.

  • Represents the hospital at various outside community functions.

  • Monitors monthly budget.

  • Operates word processor or other electronic equipment.

  • Coordinates duties and activities of lower level clerical positions and/or volunteers.

  • Maintains confidentiality of medical records and complies with all applicable state and federal regulations, including, but not limited to, HIPAA and HITECH.

Other Information

  • Hours - Full-time - 40 hours a week.
