Position Summary

  • Ensure Compliance with applicable safety regulations (TJC EOC, OSHA, NFPA, EPA, etc.)
  • Analyze and participate in Employee Injury Reduction Program
  • Provide specialized consultative services/risk assessments
  • Participate in various committee and task group activities
  • Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Baccalaureate Degree (4 year); Major: Safety, Health & Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or other related
  • Special Training Desired: Masters in Safety preferred. Industrial Hygiene and/or Safety Management desired
  • Licenses/Certifications Desired: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) desired
  • Three months to one year safety, health & environmental, industrial hygiene or related experience required
  • Experience may come from job-related work, internships, special schools or certification courses
  • Substitutions allowed for Experience: Prefer related Masters Degree (Safety, Health, Environmental; Safety Management; Industrial Safety, Chemistry, Biology, other). CSP/CHSP can substitute for max one-half experience requirement.
