We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Responsibilities

  • Evidence based Protocol driven respiratory care services.
  • Areas of specialty would include trauma, medicine, and cardiovascular services, ED, and inpatient rehab.
  • Discharge planning: COPD, asthma, cystic fibrosis, home vent and trach patients.
  • Research opportunities available.
  • RCP who can demonstrate critical thinking skills and grow in knowledge thru continuous education.
  • Vidant Regional Hospitals may also include EKG, PFT, Stress testing and blood gas analysis.

Requirements

  • Successfully Completed an AAS or AS degree in Respiratory Care accredited by COARC and recognized by the NBRC.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist within 6 months of Graduation.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Active licensure with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board upon hire.
  • Advance Cardiac Life support (ACLS) if not current must complete within 12 months of hire date/transfer.

Other

  • We offer BSRT with ACCS an advanced RCP position with pay difference.
  • AARC and NBRC membership recommended.
  • Clinical ladder offered for advancement.
