Position Summary

  • The Respiratory Care Practitioner is under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director of Cardiopulmonary and overall supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Manager. 
  • The team member is a highly skilled employee who provides safe, expedient, and cost effective cardiopulmonary services. 
  •  The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive and effective relationship with all hospital departments, employees, medical staff, and patients families.
  • The team members are responsible for competent performance in all respiratory and cardiac procedures on patients of all ages with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders. 
  • The team memebers are involved in patient evaluation, treatment selection, assessment of treatment efficiency, patient education, and documentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Employee must be a graduate of an accredited school, licensed by the State of North Carolina, credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care NBRC and maintain a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license with the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care NCBRC. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
