In addition to acute care, our services include rehabilitation, oncology and outpatient clinics.

Responsibilities

The Reimbursement Tech performs data entry necessary to produce bills to Medicare, Medicaid, and other third party insurance as well as patient statements. They perform cashiering and accounting duties to ensure the Accounts Receivable is in balance daily. They perform insurance follow up and collection activities. They handle patient inquiries in a professional manner. The reimbursement tech reports to the Billing Supvervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent and Associate's Degree in Business or Accounting is required.
  • 2 additional years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement may be substituted for post high school education.
  • 1 - 3 years experience in a hospital/physician office/other medical billing office setting with experience supervising or coordinating insurance follow-up and accounts receivable activities.
  • Experience and knowledge of denied claims from any source.

Other Information

  •  Monday-Friday Dayshift.
