Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing a system of patient care delivery that focuses on the achievement of outcomes within effective time frames and with appropriate use of resources.
  • Works in collaboration with trauma program leadership to improve the quality of trauma care, encompassing all areas and disciplines.
  • Responsible for coordination and facilitation of the division performance improvement program, including data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking data and outcomes.
  • Coordinates the development and implements pediatric trauma performance improvement indicators.
  • Monitors patients and outcomes; performs follow up and implements actions plans as needed.
  • Monitors compliance with accrediting agencies: American College of Surgeons and State of North Carolina.
  • Coordinates and presents at educational conferences.

Minimum Requirements

  • College Degree (4 yrs.)
  • BSN required
  • NC RN licensure required
  • More than 4 years of prior experience serving as manager of trauma related clinical areas; may substitute appropriate clinical experience
  • Experience with performance improvement and quality program

Preferred Requirements

  • MSN preferred

Other Information

  • Strong organization and communication skills required
  • Solid experience with Excel and database analysis
