About Vidant Duplin Hospital
Vidant Duplin Hospital is a 81-bed, not-for-profit hospital, located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The newly renovated, 15-bed ER serves approximately 22,000 patients per year from the local community and surrounding towns.
The Registered Nurse provides professional, holistic nursing care for patients across the lifespan that is safe, cost effective, and exemplary of health care quality standards. As a member of a team of health care professionals, an RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates population-specific nursing care for patients in his/her assigned unit or clinical setting(s).
RNs provide care that is grounded in mutually beneficial partnerships with patients and families. RNs behave in a manner consistent with the professional practice standards, state Nurse Practice Act, and Code of Ethics adopted by the nursing profession.
In addition to performing nursing care procedures, RN's are involved in appropriate delegation of patient care tasks, clinical decision-making, evaluation of treatment efficacy, goal-directed care planning, and patient and family education.
RN's are required to document in the electronic health record factual, accurate, complete, timely, legal information about the care they provide to each patient.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Current BLS certification.
Additional Certifications required based on Nursing unit.
Requires at least one year of acute care setting nursing experience for all Supplemental levels.
Requires 24 hours to be worked per six weeks schedule within identified hours of unit need.
Baccalaureate educational preparation (BSN) is preferred; required by year 2020.
Failure to work 24 hours during the six-week schedule for 3 consecutive schedules will result in termination.
