Vidant Chowan Hospital
Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Use professional nursing judgment to individualize the plan of care based on assessment of the patient’s baseline needs and response to care. Delegate tasks and supervises the activities of unlicensed care providers. Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care including equipment and material resources. Leads/guides licensed practical nurses, nurse aides and ancillary associates in the delivery of patient care. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Accredited Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or temporary North Carolina licensure or meet requirements to hold RN licensure in a compact state.
Basic Life Support
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
