About Vidant Bertie Hospital

Vidant Bertie Hospital is a six-bed critical access state-of-the-art facility located in Windsor, North Carolina that provides surgical, emergency and diagnostic services, specialty clinics and primary care clinics. Our primary care physician practice operates the Vidant Family Medicine - Windsor and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. The Emergency Medicine Physicians see approximately 30 patients per day, as well a cover the 6 inpatient beds during nights and weekends. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region.


Position Summary

The Radiologic Technologist provides Medical Imaging Services for patients in accordance with physician orders and established protocols by using professional education and judgment in regards to radiation safety to patients and self.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate in Applied Science in  Radiologic Technology
  • Must have ARRT registry, or if new graduate, must be registered within 3 months
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • Must have working knowledge of all Radiology equipment, proper patient positioning, and proper and safe radiation exposures
  • Must have working knowledge of the Digital Radiography system (DR), Computer Radiography system (CR), Philips PACS system, and use of  C-arm
  • Must have proper training and documentation of training in starting IV lines for contrast and knowledge of IV contrast screening sheet and all areas of documentation
  • Must have knowledge of Health Span/Radiant for scheduling patients and documentation of exams
