Position Summary

  • The Registered Nurse provides professional, holistic nursing care for patients across the lifespan that is safe, cost-effective and exemplary of health care quality standards.
  • The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates population-specific nursing care for patients in his/her assigned unit or clinical settings(s).
  • RNs provide care that is grounded in mutually beneficial partnerships with patients and families.
  • RNs are involved in appropriate delegation of patient care tasks, clinical decision-making, evaluation of treatment efficacy, goal-directed care planning and patient and family education

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Current AHA BLS Certification

Preferred Requirements

  • Baccalaureate educational preparation (BSN)
  • OB GYN experience
