Responsibilities

  • The Staff Nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide clinical care and supervise department partnerships to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • The Staff Nurse demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth
  • and development over the life-span, and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.
  • Interpret the appropriate information required to identify needs of the patient relative to his/her age and condition.
  • Systematically assesses patient's status.
  • Assesses function and status of all body systems.
  • Prioritizes data collection as determined by immediate condition of patient.
  • Uses interviews with patients and significant other(s), physical examination, review of records and reports.
  • Formulates nursing diagnosis (concise statement identifying patient's potential problems) based on data and assessment
  • of identified needs.
  • Recognizes changes in patient's status promptly and communicates with physician as soon as they are detected.
  • Assesses ability of patient and/or caregivers to develop a plan of care.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current license as a RN in the state of North Carolina.
  • Demonstrates competencies in nursing practice.
  • Basic computer skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • CPR required

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
