Position Summary

  • Provides quality patient care in an outpatient ambulatory setting for oncology patients requiring surgical intervention (Pre and Post-Operatively) to include/but not limited to Breast Cancer, Melanoma and other Skin Cancers, GI Cancer-Colorectal/Pancreatic/Gastric.

  • Participates with disease specific teams to provide to develop and implement patient specific plans of care.

  • Coordinates/supports minimally invasive outpatient procedures done within the clinical area.

  • Attends educational activities that promote both professional growth as well as new treatment modalities for patient care.

  • Participates in the Service of Excellence Program.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or temporary North Carolina licensure or meet requirements to hold RN licensure in a compact state.

  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required.

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit requirements.

  • FOR EASTCARE TRANSPORT RN's: ACLS, BLS, PALS. NRP, TNCC must be obtained before the end of orientation, One specialty certification for example, CFRN or  must be obtained within 2 years of hire is required. 3 to 5 years experience as a RN is required from an ICU or ER setting.

  • The ability to treat patients under EastCare protocols is determined by the EastCare Medical Director.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

  • Hours - Full-Time - 40 hours per week.
