Position Summary

Primary Population:

19 Bed Unit

  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Non-traumatic brain injuries
  • Sub-dural hematomas
  • Stroke
  • Motor vehicle accidents
  • Body and head trauma
  • Falls
  • Brain tumors
  • Encephalitis
  • Drug related problems
  • 164 admissions/year    
  • Average LOS:  18 days

Staffing/Scheduling

  • Depends on acuity and needs of patients
  • Average 4-5 patients per RN 
  • 12 hour shifts
  • 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
     

Minimum Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or temporary North Carolina licensure or meet requirements to hold RN licensure in a compact state.
  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit requirements.
