About Vidant Duplin Hospital

Vidant Duplin Hospital is a 81-bed, not-for-profit hospital, located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The newly renovated, 15-bed ER serves approximately 22,000 patients per year from the local community and surrounding towns.

Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse provides professional, holistic nursing care for patients across the lifespan that is safe, cost-effective, and exemplary of health care quality standards. 

  • A RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates population-specific nursing care for patients in his/her assigned unit or clinical setting(s). 

  • RNs provide care that is grounded in mutually beneficial partnerships with patients and families. 

  • RNs behave in a manner consistent with the professional practice standards, state Nurse Practice Act, and Code of Ethics adopted by the nursing profession. 

  • RN's are involved in appropriate delegation of patient care tasks, clinical decision-making, evaluation of treatment efficacy, goal-directed care planning, and patient and family education.

  • RN will be primarily provide care in Oncology but will also cover Women's center and Operating room.

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

  • Current BLS certification at time of, hire and maintained during employment.

  • ACLS and PALS certification

  • Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification

  • Non-violent crisis intervention training required within first 30 days of employment

Preferred Requirements

  • Baccalaureate educational preparation (BSN) is preferred; is required by year 2025.

Other Information

  • Full-time Days, Flexible Schedule, 32 hours per week with benefits, May work up to every fourth weekend as needed
