Position Summary

Breast-feeding patient consultation. Postpartum breast-feeding follow-up. Breast-feeding statistics management (coordination). Breast-feeding support for NICU families. Breast-feeding education for health care professionals. Breast-feeding education for consumers. Breast-feeding educator group co-facilitator. Maintenance of breast-feeding policy and teaching plan. Liaison for community breast-feeding initiatives. Participant on the Pitt County Breast-feeding Advisory Council (PCBAC).

Minimum Requirements

  • Nursing degree required (ADN/BSN).
  • Registered Nurse Licensure required.
  • International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant preferred.
