Vidant Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina and has 20 practicing physicians on its active medical staff. Vidant Duplin serves Duplin County and surrounding communities in Eastern North Carolina with a population of approximately 60,000 people. On an annually basis, it serves 3,800 inpatients and over 52,000 outpatients (including nearly 30,0000 ED visits), in addition to a surgical volume of 2,050.

Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse provides professional, holistic nursing care for patients across the lifespan that is safe, cost-effective, and exemplary of health care quality standards.
  • A RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates population-specific nursing care for patients in his/her assigned unit or clinical setting(s).
  • RNs provide care that is grounded in mutually beneficial partnerships with patients and families.
  • RNs behave in a manner consistent with the professional practice standards, state Nurse Practice Act, and Code of Ethics adopted by the nursing profession.
  • RN's are involved in appropriate delegation of patient care tasks, clinical decision-making, evaluation of treatment efficacy, goal-directed care planning, and patient and family education.

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Current BLS certification at time of, hire and maintained during employment.
  • ACLS certification within 12 months of hire
  • NIHSS and Non-violent Crisis Intervention training within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience preferred.
