Position Summary

  • The Quality Nurse Specialist II position oversees service management operations to ensure relationships with patients and families are optimal.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree is required.
  • 2-3 years experience in management recommended.
  • 5 years clinical experience.
  • Current NC RN licensure.

Other Information

  • Cardiovascular data outcome coordinator.
  • Performs clinical auditing and data abstraction of patient records in support of Vidant Medical Center clinical improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Oversight of registry-related responsibilities mainly to include NCDR and ACTION.
  • Assist in development, planning, and implementation of cardiology QI programs and projects.
  • Assists department and MD leaders in program operations and management.
  • Promotes and supports participation of staff in applying principles of continuous improvement to improve care, outcomes, and reduce inefficiencies.
