As part of a professional healthcare team, the Vidant Company Police Department’s mission is to protect and serve the patients, visitors and staff of all Vidant Health entities in order to provide a high quality, cost effective and secure environment for the provision of quality patient care. We accomplish this by working continually to improve our skills and service.


Position Summary

  • The VMC Public Safety Officer performs the complete range of security services provided to the patients, visitors, and staff of Vidant Medical Center.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent with 3 months - 1 year experience preferred in security, criminal justice and/or military experience.

  • Valid N.C. Driver's License required.

Other Information

  • Hours - Full-Time - 40 Hours a week.
