Information Services at Vidant Health

Vidant Health offers comprehensive Information Technology (IT) services and infrastructure to support and enable all aspects of organizational operations. Our IT division consists of a state-of-the-art data center located in Greenville, NC. The data center services all information technology needs of Vidant Health facilities. All Vidant Health owned or leased hospitals are on a common IT platform, including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses Epic's suite of applications. Vidant Health has achieved Meaningful Use Stage 2 recognition and is also approaching Stage 7 for HIMSS Analytics’ Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model (EMRAM) recognition.

Position Summary

The Acute Program Lead is responsible for the management of key Information Services projects and programs throughout the project life cycle by following Vidant Health's Project Management Framework and system development lifecycle methodology. Management of large, complex Information Services programs and projects including utilizing framework and methodology guidelines to deliver projects on schedule and on budget while meeting the needs of the project sponsors. Projects may be cross-functional in nature, requiring participation across multiple business units; often times requiring long distance staffing engagement and vendors to accomplish the assigned project goals. This role will be accountable for managing a team of 2-3 Project Managers.  The Program Lead’s focus will be on the Acute project portfolio and will work with business and IS leadership to plan the project roadmap.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • Master's degree preferred

  • PMP Certification within 1 year

  • 10+years project and/or program management experience required

  • Knowledge of project accounting practices required

  • Knowledge of healthcare practices and culture preferred
