Position Summary

The Project Manager manages organizational initiatives and special projects, and works in a professional capacity with senior level executives. This position also provides project-related and other support to the Administrator of Operations and Logistics and other divisional managers. The scope of this position is in both the operations of clinical practice and business processes within Vidant Medical Center.

Responsibilities include facilitating project teams, coordinating process improvement activities across all business units, communicating/presenting updates and summaries to Senior Leadership, coaching hospital leaders and resolving issues. This position requires an extensive communication skill set to proactively identify key physician and executive team needs, assist in setting priorities through the business plan creation and impact verification, develop long-range project timelines and key milestones, and lead the execution of those developed plans.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Required. 
  • Knowledge and awareness of Project Management principles.
  • Good facilitation and analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present data effectively.
  • Ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to the very highest standards.
  • Ability to quickly gain the technical, behavioral and contextual elements of a project.
  • Action and result oriented.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels.
  • Willingness to take on project ownership and accountability.
  • Lean-Six Sigma education and experience preferred, to include Green or Black belt attainment or other statistical process controls and/or accuracy-focused improvement methodologies.
  • 1 year to 3 years experience required in Healthcare Institution. 

Preferred Requirements

  • Masters Degree
  • PMP Certification
  • Previous consulting experience
