  • Provides leadership, direction and administration to aspects of clinic activities to ensure accomplishment of its objectives.?? Supervises staff and oversees the activities of Clinic Staff and Providers of VH Physicians.
  • Participates with Regional Administrator in charting and implementing the clinic services mission in response to the changing needs of the community.
  • Recommends, assists in development and updates strategic long-range plans to support clinic services philosophy and goals.?? Informs Administrator about current trends, problems and activities in the medical field to facilitate policy making.
  • Recommends clinic policy positions regarding administrative and legislative matters.
  • Coordinates with the Administrator, medical staff, administrative team and other clinic personnel the monitoring of medical activities to ensure the availability of the community's needs for quality care.
  • Consults with relevant staff and departments prior to recommending and establishing new policies to ensure the availability of support and resources.
  • Coordinates efforts to medical staff, Regional Director and administrative staff in the recruitment, development, evaluation and retention of medical personnel.
  • Coordinates the long-range financial development and management of the organization.
  • Ensures the provision of affordable health care services by the acquisition of resources.?? Develops improved management techniques and practices.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies.?? Continually monitors operations, programs, and physical properties.?? Initiates appropriate change.?? Encourages the integration of the Clinic services with community through effective communication and public relations programs.
  • Represents the hospitals clinic services in its relationship with other health organizations, government agencies and third party payors.
  • Directs and supervises clinic activities through department heads and administrative support staff.?? Consults with and advises department heads on a regular basis.
  • Provides assistance to supervisory personnel in establishing department philosophy and objectives related to staffing and performance standards, policies and procedures, job classifications, compliance with government regulations.
  • Serves as a liaison and channel of communication between the hospital and it committees, the medical and administrative staff.
  • Resolves any medical-administrative problems and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee moral and a professional, healthful clinic atmosphere.
  • Prepares monthly clinic performance reports for the Regional Director.
  • Distributes to and meets with the Providers.
  • Discusses individual provider productivity.
  • Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep current in the latest trends in clinic administration.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Performs related work as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 or more years experience in hospital and primary care setting in a management position.?? Experience in all areas of a medical office practice.
  • Knowledge of health care rules and regulations.?? Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Telephone and computer skills
  • Public Relation skills with the ability to interact with staff and providers

Preferred Requirements

  • BS in Business Administration preferred.
