  • Competently performs all duties associated with registering patients for professional fees.

  • Enters charges from coded encounter forms/charge sheets into A/R system in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate entry of grant fund information into the designated database for tracking and reporting purposes.

  • Maintain correct knowledge of diagnosis and procedure code terminology. Possess the ability to identify incorrect diagnosis, procedure (CPT, ICD-9, DSM-IV codes) and charge coding.

  • Must possess the ability to function in all capacities within the office.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school degree plus 1 to 2 years of formal training or education in related fields.

  • Business office, clerical and computer experienced. Must be skilled in utilization of office machines.

  • One-year experience in physician reimbursement preferred or experience in medical office environment.
