Position Summary

Assists in development and implementation of the hospitals' strategic plan.

Minimum Requirements

  • College Degree (4 yrs) - Health Administration or Business.

  • Master's Degree may be used to substitute for two years experience.

  • One to three years experience in a hospital, health system, government agencies, physician groups, universities.

  • This position requires an individual with good communication, interpersonal, organization, quantitative and analytical abilities.  Specifically, an ideal candidate would have:

    • Basic analytical skills in areas that include basic statistical, market and financial concepts in order to assimilate data into useful information.

    • Good written and oral communication and presentation skills.

    • Self motivation, able to work with minimum supervision, and ability to perform job duties under stress.

    • Basic knowledge of the strategic/business planning process and the feasibility/pro forma analysis format and presentation.

    • Strong familiarity with spreadsheet, graphics, database, and word processing applications.

    • Basic familiarity with the basic concept of healthcare reform and physician network development.
