Position Summary

Responsible for development and cultivation of provider relationships as it relates to growth strategies for Vidant Health. Manage activity, provide information about health system services and providers, utilizing various reporting tools and resources within Vidant Health. Develop, strengthen and manage provider relationships through gathering market intelligence, identifying opportunities and improving communications to increase utilization of Vidant Health services. Responsible for the strategic implementation, management and reporting of an annual network/sales plan based on identified service lines, markets, initiatives and projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or higher
  • Three to four years related experience
  • Experience working in a sales or customer service environment, experience working with healthcare providers required
  • Computer proficiency with experience in customer/physician relations management platforms as well as Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience in developing business plans, models, and presentations in support of provider outreach
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, particularly on evolving trends
  • Understanding of academic medical center complexities and ability to operate across lines of authority within matrixed relationships
  • Comfort with ambiguity and with shared ownership of programs, initiatives, and deliverables.
  • A clear and independent thinker with established analytic skills
  • Ability to align complex strategic initiatives
  • Track record of successful customer service, communication effectiveness, and relationship building, execution and ongoing development
  • Commitment to working as a visible leader representing Vidant Health in the field establishing new relationships and visiting long time referral physicians and their practices
  • Project competence, confidence, emotional intelligence and mature judgment.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience working with community based physicians, sub specialist and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain trusting and effective relationships with physicians and their practice managers or office staff
  • Competence in data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make presentations that utilize data to drive clear decisions
  • Ability to manage resources including travel, networking, and entertainment budget. Ability to work in a fast paced, patient service oriented environment

Preferred Requirements

  • Five to seven years related experience
  • Masters Degree or higher
