Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.


  • The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for the delivery of physical therapy services under the supervision of the physical therapist. The PTA works collaboratively during the delivery of services, The PTA complies with the standards of practice for physical therapy, the PT code of ethics, the Practice Act of North Carolina, and the role and responsibilities of the PT and PTA during the delivery of PTA services

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

  • North Carolina Physical Therapy Assistant License

  • CPR

  • Valid Driver's License

Other Information

  • Full time position with benefits

  • Monday-Friday, 8 hour days (some call-one Sunday per month)

  • Time will be split between Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton NC and Vidant Bertie, Windsor, NC
