  • Accurately evaluates individual patients who have been referred to Physical Therapy.
  • Plans and develops Physical Therapy programs for individual patients following established Physical Therapy protocols where appropriate.
  • Administers physical therapy treatments in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Competent in providing treatments to a broad spectrum of patients.
  • When an established protocol is not available for a particular diagnosis/patient, the therapist develops a detailed plan of care which is able to be clearly followed by other staff.
  • Assesses patient progress and revises treatment procedures as indicated.
  • Consults with and communicates pertinent data to other health professionals relative to patient care plans.
  • In consultation with patient’s physician and other health care professionals, determines whether the patient requires continued physical therapy services or restorative nursing care.
  • Able to coordinate patient care for efficient use of time (2 patients in gym, dove tailing patients).
  • Initial evaluation performed on all patients and documentation is thorough in content.
  • Provide evaluator with a chart in which you performed an evaluation in each of the following categories: Non-surgical shoulder, Total Knee, Post-op, Shoulder, Geriatric, Back, Wound.
  • Notes are thorough and include the patients¿ response  to treatments and progress towards achieving established goals.
  • Notes are thorough enough to allow continuity of care between therapists.
  • Conducts oneself in a professional manner and practices ethical polite decision making (confidentiality).
  • Delegates duties to support staff in a polite and pleasant manner.
  • Works well with other members; is cooperative, courteous, tactful, and pleasant.
  • Willing to assist other staff with patient treatments as needed.
  • Accepts responsibility for regular attendance and reporting to work on time.
  • Identifies personal educational needs and develops a plan to address areas of weakness.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of a P.T. curriculum approved by the APTA.
  • Current N.C. license.
  • CPR certification required 

Preferred Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Healthcare Management, Medical Office Technology, Business, Finance or related field

Other Information

  • Full-Time Position
  • Monday - Friday, 8 hour shift
  • Saturday/Sunday Morning-rotating call shift
