Responsibilities

Professional Practice: Assesses Patients, Develops plan of care, Implements care, Evaluates and revises care, Communicates patient information in verbal and written formats, Provides patient/family education, Delegates/superises portions of care to appropriate personnel, Participates in discharge planning
Education: Identifies and plans for own learning needs, Attends inservices, Applies knowledge gained through education to clinical practice, Instructs students and mentors less experienced staff, Assists with new employee orientation
Leadership: Is familiar with and follows hospital policies and procedures, Attends mandatory inservices/meetings, Demonstrates effective interpersonal relations, communication, and facilitates such, Contributes to organizational/team/department goals by active participation in meetings and committees, Develops knowledge and skill level to the extent is considered a resource person in a defined area of Physical Therapy, May serve as a charge individual
Quality Improvement: Responsible for delivering quality care, Participates in quality improvement activities, Serves on Quality Improvement Committee
Special Projects: Participates in approved projects/research

Minimum Requirements

College Degree (4 yrs)??????????????????
Major: Physical Therapy

Registration or Certification
North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy

Related Work Experience:
More than 2 years but less than 3 years
Gradually progressive specialized practice in an area of Physical Therapy maximum of 30 months at Vidant Medical Center.
