Position Summary

Pharmacy Technicians are a foundation of the pharmacy department and drive many of the workflow activities. The expectations are to support the mission, vision, and core values of Vidant Health and the pharmacy department. Further expectations are to actively engage in professional self-development and take a proactive approach to learning.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher
  • Zero to two years related pharmacy experience

Preferred Requirements

  • PTCB Certification - CPhT
  • Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree - Pharmacy Technology
  • One year of experience in hospital or retail pharmacy setting

Other Information

  • 2nd Shift - is 2:00pm to 10:30pm or 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm and Alternating Weekends
  • occasional 3rd shift coverage for vacations as needed (9:00pm to 7:00am)
  • Training will be on day shift (1st shift) for a minimum of 4 weeks and then train on evening (2nd shift) for up to 3 weeks
