Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a supplemental pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Operations team. This pharmacist will be an integral team member, working hours and shifts on an ‘as needed’ basis, as determined by the pharmacy department. 

Successful candidates will join a team of experienced pharmacists that ensure safe and effective use of medications by providing optimal drug product selection, dosage regimen design, effective administration and drug therapy monitoring. The integrated electronic health record (EPIC) is utilized throughout the system for medication review and order verification. The central pharmacy is also responsible for the production of sterile products, cart fill, inventory and automation. Most drug distribution is automated, using medication carousels and unit-based automated dispensing cabinets.  

 

Minimum Requirements

  • College degree plus other schooling.  B.S. or PharmD in pharmacy is required
  • Must be Licensed in North Carolina prior to start date or within 30 days of hire
  • Maintains active NC pharmacy license and provides proof of renewal prior to December 31 annually
  • BLS is required within 30 days of hire
