Position Summary

As a Patient Escorter-Transporter II, you are an integral member of the patient care team. Transporter II's are responsible for ensuring the provision of quality patient care and safety during transport of patients through utilization of safety devices and close observation. During the transport of cardiac monitored patients, you will ensure safe patient monitoring during transport and trouble shoot cardiac monitors' alarms, parameters and equipment. The Patient Escorter-Transporter II will transport lab specimens and medications that are needed to appropriate units/departments. You will demonstrate knowledge of appropriate technology systems and have basic computer skills. The Transporter will also be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent

  • EKG/ECG interpretation class or work experience is required

  • Less than 1 year in a Healthcare setting is required.

  • Current CPR/BLS is required through the American Heart Association

  • Basic computer skills are preferred

  • EKG/ECG Intepretation Certification is preferred
