Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.


  • To ensure proper patient identification, billing information, patient demographics, and registration functions are obtain/completed accurately and timely.  Patient Access is the face of the hospital.  Customer service skills, public relations, interdepartmental communication, teamwork, and patient communication are a must.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Customer Service experience

Preferred Requirements

  • Basic computer skills

  • Experience in Patient Access Services (Patient Registration)

Other Information

  • Full time position, with benefits

  • Shifts will vary 7pm-7am or 7am-7pm

  • Some weekends and holidays required

  • Pay scale:  $10.35-$16.50
