Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate degree in medical and/or insurance related field preferred. Example: Medical Office Technology or Healthcare Management.

Substitution for Associates degree:  Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a comparable position. Example: Physician office, public health agency, insurance company, co-op or internship.

Computer skills and knowledge required. Software applications, patient management and document imaging.

Printer, copier, fax, telephone, postage machine, pager, and credit card machine knowledge required. 

Experience dealing with the public, familiarity with hospital environment or physicians office is preferred.

Background in collections and billing.
