  • Perform patient registration and /or pre-certification.

  • Coordinate scheduling of patient procedures by working with physicians and or physician¿s office staff, clinical staff of various departments via telephone or fax.

  • Verify insurance benefits using the electronic insurance eligibility application (Passport), Internet applications or telephone calls to insurance carriers.

  • Obtain authorizations and pre-certifications for applicable visits.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree in Healthcare Mgmt., Medical Office Tech., Business, Finance, Public Health or related field preferred.

  • Must be able to work nights/weekends/holidays
