Vidant Edgecombe Hospital, formerly Heritage Hospital, is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro, Edgecombe county and surrounding communities receive a wide range of health services close to home.  Our partnership with Vidant Health enhances our wide range of services and improves the quality of care our patients receive. More than 20 specialties are represented by Vidant Edgecombe Hospital's medical staff, assuring the people of Edgecombe county that almost all their health needs can be met right here at home. In addition to acute care, our services include rehabilitation, oncology and outpatient clinics.

Responsibilities

  • The Patient Access Representative registers all incoming patients into the hospital.  He/she will work with the department manager and peers in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment to ensure department goals are met.  Strong organizational, people and communication skills will be key to an employee’s success.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent

  • 2 years college level courses OR 2 years business office experience OR 2 years registration experience

  • Knowledge/experience of COBRA and Federal Insurance Regulations

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience in customer service

Other Information

  • One open position, every other Friday and Saturday

    • Hours are 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
