Minimum Requirements

  • Board of Nursing approved Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program.
  • NC RN Licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or as a Physician Assistant, National Board Certification as an NP/PA required.
  • A minimum of 2 years APP experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Two years as RN with direct patient care experience in Hospice and/or Palliative Care may be substituted for 1 year APP experience.

Vidant Medical Group and Vidant Neurosurgery are seeking a Physicians Assistant to join its practice in Greenville.  Supervising Physician practices general Neurosurgery with emphasis on pediatric patients.  The employed position will include both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

 Highlights include:

  • Established team of 6 Neurosurgeons and 3 APPs
  • Monday –Friday schedule with rotating weekends (rounding)
  • No nights
  • 2 Outpatient clinic days/week and 2-3 OR days/week
  • Inpatient responsibilities will include OR, rounding with surgeon M-F, inpatient medical management,  and communication with consult teams
  • Busy service 350+ cases/year
  • Annual Stipend and RVU based-bonus compensation
  • Relocation provided
  • New grads with Neuroscience experience considered
  • Hospital privileges will be at Vidant Medical Center
  • Employment by Vidant Medical Group, a physician led multi-specialty physician organization
