About Vidant Duplin Hospital

Vidant Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina and has 20 practicing physicians on its active medical staff. Vidant Duplin serves Duplin County and surrounding communities in Eastern North Carolina with a population of approximately 60,000 people. On an annually basis, it serves 3,800 inpatients and over 52,000 outpatients (including nearly 30,0000 ED visits), in addition to a surgical volume of 2,050.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assessment, treatment planning and execution of Occupational Therapy treatments. These services are based on the patient/family preferences and the developmental needs, medical conditions and diseases as they affect patient care and recovery.
  • The staff therapist will be responsible for maintaining patient care documentation and adherence to documentation guidelines.
  • The staff therapist shall provide patient care following development of a treatment plan completed considering the patient's problems as related to occupational performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
  • Licensure in State of NC Board of Occupational Therapy.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
